ICMIF provides training for members at every level. The Federation has a commitment to its members to assist in training for not only cooperative and mutual principles but also global management practices.

In order to fulfil this commitment, ICMIF is in the unique position of being able to help members with uncertainty problems by offering AGILE, an insurance learning platform that accurately re-creates the insurance industry and the real world uncertainties that insurance companies face. AGILE immerses people in a real world scenario generating emotion and surprise, so the lessons learned using AGILE are retained in the memory long after traditional lessons have been forgotten.

The flexible approach of AGILE means that the highly focused scenarios can replicate almost any role for any class of business in any insurance market. Workshops are available for non-life insurance, life assurance, reinsurance, takaful and microinsurance.

Advanced Management Course

Each year the ICMIF Advanced Management Course is held. An intensive, one-week experience aimed at future senior managers of member organisations. This learning experience includes team assignments, lectures, group discussion and role-play. The course, together with non-executive director training and opportunities for staff secondment and exchanges to sustain staff personal development, combine to enhance the exchange of information between members.
