Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad (PruBSN) recent give back to the community for the month of November was in conjunction with Aidil Adha or better known to the locals as ‘Hari Raya Qurban'.

The purpose of this effort was to make a Sadaqah in this holy month to the Muassah Darul Fuqaha Orphanage in Bangi and Rumah Perlindungan Anak-anak Yatim AIDS in Cheras.

Muassah Darul Fuqaha is an organization that prepares and nurtures youths with essential Islamic knowledge of following Prophet Muhammad's sunnah or habits. Rumah Perlindungan Anak-anak Yatim AIDS is an organization that cares for children or orphans with this ailment. A total of four goats were sacrificed for this effort and two goats were given to each the organization.

Earlier in the year, PruBSN launched a donation drive among its employees and agents. The donation drive raised MYR 3,000 (USD 982) and the company matched the same amount to MYR 6,000 (USD 1,964).

A few charitable institutions have benefited from the pool of donation namely the Rumah Anak Yatim Amal Baitul Fitrah, Rumah Anak-anak Yatim Sungai Petani and Rumah Anak Yatim Kota Bharu.

YM Tengku Sheila Tengku Azib, Head of Marketing Support of PruBSN said, "We are very grateful to be able to help those who are in need. This is very much related to our business of shared responsibility and mutual protection," she added.

"In view of the company's promise of going beyond customers' expectation, we are always looking to contribute to the community in which we conduct business."

Both organisations were thankful to have received the Qurban offering from PruBSN. Children from the Rumah Perlindungan Anak-anak Yatim AIDS were delighted and in high spirits when they saw PruBSN's staff handing over the meat to the representative at the orphanage.
